SiriusXM is a satellite radio and streaming audio service that delivers music, sports, news, talk, and entertainment to your car, phone, smart speaker, and other connected devices. Satellite radio broadcasts directly to your car via satellite, while streaming works over the internet through the SiriusXM app and web player.
Satellite radio uses a dedicated receiver and antenna in your vehicle to receive broadcasts directly from satellites. It works almost anywhere with a clear view of the sky. Streaming delivers the same channels over the internet through the SiriusXM app, website, and supported smart devices. Streaming requires an internet connection and a compatible device.
Tune your SiriusXM car radio to channel 0 or channel 1. Your Radio ID (also called ESN or SID) will appear on the screen. It is usually an 8- to 12-character alphanumeric code. You will need this ID to activate your radio or refresh your signal.
SiriusXM typically offers a free trial for new listeners. Trial availability and length vary by promotion and vehicle. Visit siriusxm.com to check current trial offers for your car or streaming device. You may need to provide your Radio ID or create an account to start a trial.
Yes. You can have multiple subscriptions, one for each vehicle or streaming login. SiriusXM offers multi-radio pricing, but specific plan details and discounts vary. Check your account online or contact support to add another radio to your account.
If channels are missing or you see “Updating” or “Check Antenna,” you can send a refresh signal online. Go to siriusxm.com/refresh, enter your Radio ID, and follow the prompts. Make sure your vehicle is outside with a clear view of the sky and the radio is tuned to channel 184 or the preview channel. The refresh can take a few minutes to complete.
You can manage your subscription by signing in to your account on siriusxm.com. From there, you can change your plan, update payment information, or cancel. If you need help, contact SiriusXM support. For detailed steps, see our guide to managing your subscription.
Missing channels are often caused by an expired subscription, a signal issue, or a channel lineup change. First, verify your subscription is active. Then try refreshing your signal at siriusxm.com/refresh. If the problem continues, check that your antenna has a clear view of the sky and is not damaged.
SiriusXM satellite radio is designed for use in the continental United States. Streaming may be available in some other locations depending on licensing and your internet connection. Availability and channel selection can vary when traveling abroad.
The SiriusXM app is available on iOS and Android phones and tablets, as well as through the web player on desktop browsers. It also works on many smart speakers, smart TVs, and streaming devices. Download the app from your device’s app store or visit siriusxm.com to stream from a browser.
Sign in to your SiriusXM account online and go to your billing or payment settings. From there, you can update your credit card, billing address, and other payment details. Changes typically take effect for your next billing cycle.
